Yes, it’s the moment I’ve been waiting for. Libertine Burger is opening in Rugby. They officially open on Wednesday (October 1st) and are currently testing their kitchen but come on, we all know it’s going to be good.
You may have seen me wax lyrical about Libertine before (read it here if not). They were street food gurus – award-winning ones at that – turning out epic burgers before they opened in Leamington and since then it’s fairly obvious they have gone from strength to strength.
I won’t go on and on, but their patties are made decently, their burger toppings epic and often changing thanks to regular specials. They do dirty fries, fried pickles, corn dogs, amazing chicken wings and rather gorgeous milkshakes.
I think they’re great. No, they’re not as cheap as McDonald’s or Burger King and if that’s what you want then I’d suggest maybe you stick to that. But if you want a decent burger – a proper burger made by people who know what they’re doing – then get down to Libertine at the Swan Centre in Rugby (near ASDA) and back them so we get to keep another great independent in our town!
Oh, they’ve also got an AMAZING competition running to win a year’s supply of Libertine Burgers so you may want to head over to their Facebook and give them a follow 😉
