You wanted news, here’s more news! Food festival season isn’t quite over yet – there’s another local one to go and it’s right here in my home town.
The Rugby Food and Drink Festival takes place in Rugby town centre on Saturday (September 28) from 10.30am-5pm.
I know, some of you will scoff and say there’s nothing to celebrate in Rugby but I’ve watched our food and drink scene grow consistently over the past few years with some great independents as well as the usual big names that small towns are graced with.
In my humble opinion, if you don’t back your local area and the businesses who are trying to make a go of it, then you can’t complain when they don’t last, so a festival like this is an opportunity to do exactly that.
The Rugby Food & Drink Festival takes place on Regent Street and Jubilee Gardens, complete with food, drink and produce stalls, a pop-up demonstration kitchen and family entertainment. I couldn’t make it last year but I’ve been in previous years and whilst it’s not the biggest festival out there, it’s a good way to spend a few hours.

See you there!
