Gallachers introduces ‘Bottomless Lunch’

Watch out Rugby, Saturdays just got even better. My fave wine peeps Gallachers are introducing ‘Bottomless Lunch’ in the run-up to Christmas.

For those of you in the know, yes it’s a riff on Bottomless Brunch which is massively popular all over the place and, to be honest, I’m a bit surprised somewhere in Rugby hasn’t already tried it.

For people who may not have experienced the delights of Bottomless Brunch, the concept is that you pay a set fee, you get a set amount of time and within that time your Prosecco is neverending. Yes, you read that right. Constant top-ups.

If that idea conjures up scary images of people pouring fizz down their necks as fast as they can, then worry not. Gallachers’ Bottomless Lunch definitely isn’t going to be that vibe. As well as your endless fizz you’ll get a meat and cheese board so it’s more about having a leisurely hour-and-a-half with friends then some kind of drinking race.

The rules are simple – for £30 per person (£25pp if there are more than three of you) you get an hour-and-a-half slot including endless top-ups of Prosecco and your meat and cheese board. After that you can carry on, but charges will apply.

Slots are 11.30am, 1pm, 2.30pm and 4pm and must be made by the Friday. They will run every Saturday until Christmas, excluding Saturday 21st. Your slot will be for the lovely back room at Gallachers but if you choose to stay you might have to move to the front.

It’s new for Gallachers so they might tweak it slightly but as far as I can see, Rugby’s weekend scene just got even better. Contact them via Facebook for more info.
