This time last year, the concept of getting restaurant meals delivered to your home was all a bit alien. Thanks to Covid, it’s not just the norm but it’s pretty important for hospitality businesses across the country – now more than ever.
The latest to join the club is chef restaurateur Andreas Antona – the man behind Simpsons in Edgbaston and The Cross in Kenilworth. While those have been doing their own meal services alongside Stu Deeley at Home from the Masterchef: The Professionals 2019 winner, Andreas has now launched Antona at Home.
Antona at Home will combines favourites from his Michelin-starred establishments above along with dishes inspired by holidays on the Mediterranean. It will have high welfare, sustainability and provenance at its heart and will use Andreas’ 25 years spent nurturing relationships with suppliers to give us all a ‘perfect night out, in’.
Antona at Home will offer a complete culinary experience with Michelin-quality three course meals with fine wine. You’ll also be able to buy bread and cakes as well as Christmas gift boxes, hampers for special occasions and other festive and seasonal treats. The service will offer:-
- Three course restaurant style meals from Simpsons, The Cross at Kenilworth and Stu Deeley
- Beef Wellington to share for special occasions
- Christmas boxes for one, two and larger groups
- Homemade bread and cakes
- Wines selected by the restaurants’ sommeliers
Andreas says: “In everything we do, making customers happy is our ultimate goal.
“We used to only know the customers who walked through our doors but the last few months have made us challenge everything that went before. Now we are discovering new markets that we want to reach and ways to adapt to this uncertain landscape.
“With Antona at Home I want to spread our love of food and the joy we take in preparing it with as many people as possible; from those who don’t want to dine out to those who would love to dine out but can’t find a babysitter.”
Antona at Home is available for delivery nationwide or for collection from The Cross Kenilworth or Simpsons Restaurant in Edgbaston. Prices range from £7.50 for a starter to £20 for a vegetarian main and £25.00 for a main course of meat or seafood. A Beef Wellington to share is also available priced at £60.
Meals must be ordered before midday on Tuesday for Friday or Saturday delivery with plans to extend to other days. Visit www.antonaathome.co.uk for more information.
