Warwick’s getting a new gin bar, and it sounds pretty good. ‘That Gin & Cocktail Bar‘ – yes that’s it’s name – claims to offer a “unique experience” gin lovers, taking us on a journey of discovery like nothing else on offer anywhere in the country.
Set to open on Swan Street in Warwick on Monday (May 17th), the brand new bar will offer more than 100 different gins, from UK bestsellers, international gins and its own infused gins alongside local creations, giving distillers from the area the chance to showcase their own products.

If you’re not a gin drinker, That Gin & Cocktail Bar will also offer cocktails, wines and spirits, including five different types of Prosecco. There will also be alcohol-free gins for the designated driver.
For an added bit of entertainment you can even bottle your own new-found favourite gin to take home. They’re also introducing food from Friday, May 21st, including sharing boards, afternoon teas and a range of homemade cheesecakes – including G&T flavour!
The bar is the latest venture for entrepreneur Steve Bazell who has worked in local hospitality for the last 20 years and is one half of the team behind the successful That little Gin & Prosecco Bar in his home town of Stratford-upon-
Avon.
He said: “The core concept is about buying through flavours, not through brands, and giving people a truly unique experience. We want to enable people to explore different flavour profiles by talking to us about what they
enjoy so we serve the right drink for them from our extensive range. It’s all about finding ‘your’ perfect drink.
“This method of ordering your gin is unique and not something we’ve been able to find anywhere else in the country. I thought Warwick was well suited to this kind of concept.

“When you go to the bar you often opt for the gin that you know. We offer the customer a choice of a few that fit their description and have a conversation about them. Ideally we’d like people to try something they haven’t tried
before,” he added.
“Also, we use a base gin from one of our distillers and infuse it with our own flavouring so that gives us the ability to come up with new flavours that aren’t on the standard supermarket shelf and means it’s a unique gin every time!”
That Gin & Cocktail Bar is being officially opened by the Mayor of Warwick on Thursday (May 20th ) and, after that, will open 4-11pm on Wednesday and Thursday; 11.30-midnight on Friday and Saturday; and 11am-7pm on Sunday.
