Yep, Rugby’s getting a new deli. I’ve written on this blog before about Cafe Vin Cinq, which has become a mainstay of the food scene in Rugby whether you’re going out for a slap-up meal or a cocktail in cosy Bar 25 upstairs.
During lockdown Cafe Vin Cinq really pushed its CVC Kitchen outside catering offering, reminding us that you can get their food in the office, at home, or for a special celebration. Now they’re going one step further and opening CVC Kitchen and Deli on the other side of town on Regent Street, bringing us somewhere we can get a load of wares from local makers, bakers and creators from across Warwickshire all in one place as well as providing an HQ for CVC Kitchen.
Set to open on September 18th, CVC Kitchen & Deli will offer savoury, sweet and freshly made food and drink made on-site by its own team of chefs, as well as stocking stuff from other culinary geniuses across the county.
They’ll be offering fresh coffee from Leicester-based Bamboo Coffee as well as lunch specials, meals you can heat up at home, and some of the offerings we all spent last year tucking into when we were banned from restaurants, like high teas and picnics.
Apparently there will be a consultation room where you can discuss your catering requirements and event planning and they’re also planning on introducing cooking classes and demos at the deli as well as at their restaurant. They’re also promising ‘cocktails and canvas’ art classes, bottomless brunches, high teas and networking events.
On top of that, they’ve put sustainability high on the agenda and will have a zero single-use plastic policy as well as only using recyclable or biodegradable packaging.
Sound good? Well, good job you don’t have to wait long. Head down to Regent Street to check them out on September 18th.
