In case you hadn’t heard, Luna Springs is the latest hip-hop-happening place to go in Digbeth. I visited in summer for outdoor cocktails among people significantly younger than me, but enjoying the same fabulous disco soundtrack that turns me into an embarrassing invader of the dance floor.
The warm months may have gone, but Luna Springs is here to stay and is bringing a Christmas spectacular to Digbeth. There’s a 20m x 10m ice rink with regular ice-skating clots, as well as stuff like ice zorbing and curling and ice skating lessons.
But if skating isn’t your thing, a 500-cover marquee dubbed Camp Luna, will offer entertainment including a Santa Jazz Band, The Nutcracker on Ice, Bavarian Bands, The Bad Santa Christmas Show and real life reindeer.
Obviously, there will be plenty of treats, activities, food and drink on offer, so even if none of us want to hear the ‘C’ word right now, I say if we’re going to have the cold rubbish weather, we may as well have the festive food and fun to go with it.
