Warwick Arts Centre isn’t somewhere I’ve talked about on this blog before, but that’s all about to change with the arrival of its new cafe, bar and restaurant.
The popular arts venue, which is the largest arts centre in the UK outside London, reopened in October after a huge transformation, including the opening of three new cinema screens and a relaunch of its Mead Gallery, and now March brings the opening of a brand new Benugo Bar and Kitchen.
Set to open on Monday, March 7th in the building’s new foyer, Benugo will open daily from 9am-11pm, serving coffee and pastries as well as breakfast choices including vegan overnight oats and French toast.
Benugo will have its own pizza oven serving pizzas to eat in and take away, as well as other dishes including harissa and chilli pulled lamb shoulder, cucumber sambal and tzatziki on flat bread, and fregola, rocket, tomato salad and roasted lemon. There’s also a selection of desserts including Basque cheesecake and blood orange compote, as well as a special children’s menu at weekends.
Benugo will also be running the theatre bar, which will be stocked with a wide range of classic drinks and specialities.
Warwick Arts Centre Director Doreen Forster, said: “We’re so looking forward to welcoming Benugo Bar and Kitchen into Warwick Arts Centre – it’s the perfect place to enjoy a meal before, or after, a performance, as well as being a destination in itself, perfect for meeting up with friends or family.
“With our amazing new cinemas, and superb reconfigured gallery spaces now open, the arrival of Benugo Bar and Kitchen completes our transformation.”
Since opening their first ever cafe in London in 1998, Benugo have gone on to open premises across the UK, including within some of the most famous cultural institutions in the world, including the V&A, BFI, the Wellcome Collection, British Museum, Asmolean Museum and Bletchley Park.
Ben Warner, Benugo Founder, said: “We can’t wait to open our new Benugo Bar and Kitchen and bring our impeccably sourced, delicious food, carbon neutral coffee, and wide range of cold press juices and local beers to a new audience.
“We’re delighted to be working in partnership with the prestigious Warwick Arts Centre and look forward to welcoming our new friends to this beautiful space from March 7.”
