I’m delighted to have been asked to get involved in a project with the University of Warwick and the City of Culture to celebrate food and drink across Coventry.
The project brings a whole load of people together – the University, the City of Culture Team, Coventry BID and Destination Coventry – to explore how cultures celebrate by eating and drinking together.
We want to showcase the making, history and meaning behind lots of different festive foods and drinks, as well as looking at their ingredients, techniques and stories and I’ll be helping to tell those stories through a series of videos, blog posts and more.
As part of Feast, we’re creating a city-wide ‘menu’ including all sorts of different celebration dishes, telling the stories of why they are important to us. Any restaurant or food producer can get involved and be added to that menu. Across November and December, we’ll be promoting the different dishes and encouraging the people of Coventry to try something new across the festive season.
To get involved, all you need to do is complete the below form and the team will be in touch. This is the perfect opportunity to showcase the diverse cultural scene when it comes to food and drink in Coventry so get involved!
