Inside the 22 in Rugby has given its food offering an overhaul in the run-up to Christmas, launching a new autumn menu as well as a Christmas menu inspired by the late Queen Elizabeth II.
The bar and live music venue has been doing food in some form for a while now. It changes fairly frequently, but you’ll often find small plates, brunches, and various other food offerings. We’ve had a few impromptu meals in there over the past few months and they’ve been pretty good, but it seems even more attention is being thrown at food right now.
The upstairs floor has been turned into a dedicated restaurant space and their new autumn menu will be available from Wednesdays to Sundays. Timings are as follows:-
On top of this, Inside the 22 have launched a festive menu created as a commemoration and celebration of the life and reign of Queen Elizabeth II.
Using produce from Balmoral-based butcher Sheridan’s – apparently used by the Queen – it’s full of nods to the late monarch, including a Balmoral pheasant breast, and Balmoral venison scotch egg, as well as dishes like line-caught Scottish ling and Scotch whisky poached pear.
It’s £40pp for three courses and once you’ve eaten your fill, you can enjoy cocktails and music downstairs. Check their social media for more details and to book.
