Not sure which wines to choose for Christmas? Gallachers are there for you. They’ll help you select the perfect wines for Christmas, including the best ones to compliment a roast, sparkling wines for parties, reds for game meats and a great port to finish the evening.
Tickets are £40 and you’ll get a glass of bubbles on arrival, plus the wines and port to taste and some nibbles. You must buy tickets before the event – you can do that via Gallachers website on www.gallacherswinerugby.co.uk or popping into the shop. You’ll also be able to order Christmas wines that evening.

One for those of us in the north of the county, Bedworth Foodie Fridays is a new event held on the fourth Friday of the month between May to September at Bedworth Market Hall with something for all tastes. There will be food and drink traders, handmade and unique items for sale at the Foodie Market, music and live entertainment. Entrance is free of charge and head to their Facebook page for more info.

My scouring of the internet has found you a proper Christmas cracker. If you want to get your festive food going, Okens Kitchen are throwing an evening of festive stollen making, along with festive nibbles and mulled wine. They’re promising music, decorations, and plenty of stollen baked with home made marzipan. You can also take your own drinks to make a proper evening of it.
They actually do loads of other courses as well – so make sure you trawl through their Eventbrite listings to see if anything tickles your fancy. The eventbrite for the stollen workshop is here and you can find the others through that.
