I’m a bit of a fan of the guys behind the Scenic Supper, which we’ve watched grow and change over the past few years and now have a permanent home in Cirencester as Roots + Seeds Kitchen Garden.
Well, now you can have a throwback to the Scenic Supper days at the Cirencester venue thanks to the return of its Scenic Supper ‘Winter Nights’ five-course set menu for evening dining.
For those who don’t know, The Scenic Supper opened after the first Covid lockdown, offering socially-distanced fine dining in individual glasshouses on a Cotswolds hilltop during the summer.
In the winter it moved to old Cotswolds barns where it served up the ‘Winter Nights’ menu which proved a huge hit.
So now, they’re bringing the latter back but in their new permanent restaurant with kitchen garden based at Cirencester Park. The menu follows the same ‘Paddock to Plate’ ethos as everything else these guys do, using fresh, artisan produce sourced from within a 25-mile radius and daily picked homegrown from Roots + Seeds 1/4 acre on-site kitchen garden.
Dishes will be full of seasonal comfort food with innovative touches, and in December they’ll have a more festive feel, perfect for a Christmas time gathering with family and friends or business colleagues.
‘Winter Nights’ five-course set menus start on 10th November and feature meat, vegetarian or vegan dishes (£55pp). They’re also offering Christmas set menus (two courses £26pp and three courses £29.50pp). Head to website for all their menus, along with their already popular brunch, lunch, children’s and dinner a la carter menus.
