Oktoberfest 2019, Birmingham

Another one that’s not strictly Coventry & Warwickshire, but it certainly sounds like a good’un and after recently joining in some Bavarian beer-based fun, I’m all over it.

Run by Seasonal Markets in collaboration with The Old Crown and held in the Jewellery Quarter in Birmingham, Oktoberfest is all about the beer, along with German gin, German wines and Oktoberfest themed cocktails. There’s food to line your stomach too, including traditional German schnitzel, apple strudel waffles, as well as DJs, live bands and games – oh, and a best-dressed competition…

Tickets for the Saturday are sold out but there are still some for the Friday. They’re £12 and get you entry, reserved seating and all the entertainment. More info here.

Seasonal Markets Burger Fest, Birmingham

Okay, it’s not Coventry and Warwickshire but it’s too good not to include. I’ve been to one of Seasonal Markets’ events before and they really are good. Burger Fest promises to be epic – the line-up includes people like Patty Freaks, Original Patty Men, Andy Low’N’Slow, Libertine Burger, Flying Cows, and many many more. There are other traders offering sides, desserts and hot drinks in case you get all burger’d out and of course you can get your chops round cocktails, beer and soft drinks.

The tickets are only £5 through Design My Night and it’s in only in Digbeth, a short hop and a jump from New Street station. More details are here.

The Bond Company, 180-182 Fazeley St, Birmingham B5 5SE.
