The past year has brought plenty of negatives, but there have been a few positive moments too. One of those is the number of ambitious new businesses that have been set up despite the horrendous conditions – especially when it comes to food and drink.
The latest of those is Phoenix Dining Solutions. Based in Coventry, it’s the brainchild of executive chef Anton and fiancee Emma. With more than 30 years experience both in the UK and further afield, Anton has worked at both high end restaurants and for private clients, and even for royalty, while Emma works locally for the NHS and promotes their brand new business.
Anton wanted to set up a service for people to experience his dishes, all made using fresh ingredients, sourced locally where possible. His menus are prepared in their home kitchen and delivered chilled with full heating and plating solutions.
They have a whole range of menus on offer from Sunday lunches to more fine dining-style options with dishes like braised belly of pork in a soy glaze, duck breast with chicory and dauphinoise or shiitake mushroom and cheese fritters, as well as platters and grazing board options.
They’re also hitting the ground running with several Valentine’s options including a set menu for £50 and three ‘Graze boxes’ appropriately named: ‘The Brekkie in Bed Lazy Sunday’, ‘You, Me & a Platter’ and ‘All the Sweeter to Share.
Delivery is free to most CV areas, and to Rugby, but some areas do incur a delivery charge of 20p a mile so do check when you order. Orders for Valentine’s close on Sunday, February 7th but may accept some orders after that but it’ll be subject to individual decisions and based on distance.
Even if you miss out, make sure you keep an eye on their website and Facebook page for all their latest menus, platters and grazing boards.
Phoenix Dining Solutions are registered with Coventry City Council and currently awaiting inspection, which are on hold at present due to Covid-19 pandemic. Anton is familiar with all Food Safety regulations and cooks to the highest standards.
