If you’ve followed me for a while you’ll know I love Aubrey Allen. And you don’t have to take my word for it on how good they are. The fact that chefs like Michel Roux Jr and Raymond Blanc use them, people like Elite Bistros put their meat in their amazing dine-at-home boxes, and even the Queen apparently eats their wares, should say it all.
Lucky for me, they’re just round the corner in Leamington Spa which means we’ve had the chance to pop in at a moment’s notice for steak, deli goods and a treat or two for the dogs.
But I’m not here to talk about me. I’m here to spread a rare moment of good news for 2020 because the rest of the country can now enjoy Aubrey’s delights thanks to the launch of their own ‘at home’ delivery service.
You can get yourself a box of their British, free range meet, as well as world class cheeses delivered right to your door. Choose from a range of Meat Boxes including a Raymond Blanc-inspired box, while their artisan cheese boxes focus on award winning British cheesemakers as well as continental cheeses picked by World Cheese Awards judge Simeon Hudson-Evans.
Apparently Aubrey’s were always planning an e-commerce arm, but 2020 has seen those plans ramp up, with a new dedicated production unit built on site and a new team put together to manage operations and marketing – helping limit the company’s redundancies in this most awful of years.
You can either order the boxes for yourself, or use the service to gift something to someone special – check out the Christmas gift guide for more details!
Aubrey Allen managing director Russell Allen said: “This is a home delivery service with a difference. Everything is designed to wow and to provide a unique gifting idea for people who love great food.
“All boxes can be bought for you to enjoy or gifted to that special someone. Our philosophy is all about ethically sourced sustainable products of the very highest quality and we are excited to make this available to everyone.”
