You may remember this post from the first lockdown of 2020. Each time I think it will be relegated to the history books it resurfaces. We’re now on lockdown #3 from January 2021, so I’ve resurrected my list of as many places as I could find that are offering delivery, drive-thru, click and collect and all the other stuff we learned to love in 2020 and to make sure you can support local food and drink businesses as safely as possible.
I’ll keep adding to it as I find more and please please please do support them. They need you more than ever.
Libertine do takeaways and also launched a DIY at home kit so you can recreate their loveliness in your own home. You can find their website here.
Revel has stayed open through all three lockdowns and offers great breads, cakes and goodies. They have a shop in Rugby town centre but you can also get their wares from Malt Kiln Farm Shop, Manor Farm in Catthorpe, both Onley Grounds farm and its shop in Duncrhuch and Lanes Deli and Fine Foods. On top of that, Revelroo delivers Revel bread as well as other items.
La Casa Loco
Mexican restaurant La Casa Loco is offering a takeaway service – and is also doing cocktails for delivery. I am long overdue trying their takeaway so it’s on the list but I have it on good authority that it’s great. They’ve also ditched the big delivery companies and have teamed up with a local taxi company to get your dinner to you which is a great idea. Their website is here.
Cafe Vin Cinq
Cafe Vin Cinq launched a range of lockdown services last time round, from gift vouchers to hampers with free delivery. Their catering company CVC Kitchen is fully operational, offering gifts and hampers as well as buffet catering, grazing tables, executive lunches and more – all delivered to your home or office with contactless drop-off.
They aren’t doing a takeaway service but you can order private dining at-home meals for special occasions, including custom-made cakes and bespoke menus. Contact them for details.
Treacles in Rugby town centre are doing takeaway, including all-day brunch, afternoon tea and all-day goodies like jacket potatoes, sandwiches and homemade pastries from Tuesday to Saturday 10am to 3pm. They’re also doing delivery. Check out their social media here or call 01788 560832 to order for collection or contactless delivery.
Olivias are open from 9.30am to 2pm for takeaways and will also be doing deliveries too. Check out their social media.
Tea at Rainbows
Tea at Rainbows in Bilton are doing takeaway afternoon tea in and around Rugby. Whether it’s a special occasion or you just love afternoon tea, it’s a nice little treat brought to you right there in your own home. Visit their website, email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 01788 816386.
Maia are doing a delivery service of their mega gelato. A whole range of flavours available on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Order via Facebook messenger by 2pm on the day of delivery and you’ll get given a slot between 4pm and 6pm. You can order half litre or full litre tubs which will come in an insulated box with wafer disks, disposable cups and spoons.
The Huntsman, Dunchurch
The Huntsman is doing takeaway roast dinners for £14.95 on Sundays from 12pm to 6.30pm. Send them your order request via the website here.
The Bell, Hillmorton
These guys are going back to full-time takeaways. Keep an eye on their social media for details, but last time they did everything from Sunday roasts to breakfasts.
Craft Inn Rugby
Collect beer, cider, or wine from Craft Inn in Rugby. You can pre-order then collect. Check out their social media for details.
The Courthouse have started a delivery and collection service from Thursday to Saturday, with dishes including burgers, fish and chips and other classics as well as Sunday lunch. You can order online via http://thecourthouse.foodorders.co.uk or call them on 01788 540466.
On the Deck – The Horsebox Pizzeria at the Fighting Cocks
The Horsebox Pizzeria will continue doing pizzas outside the Fighting Cocks every Friday from 5pm to 8pm. You pre-order your pizzas and the time you want them by messaging or calling 07950 372975. Easy peasy.
Rugby Real Bread
Paul from Rugby Real Bread runs a home delivery service. Check his Facebook page on www.facebook.com/rugbyrealbread
Vintage Gelato will be doing takeaways as well as call and collect. They’re also doing delivery up to 6 miles radius.
The Hideout in Churchside Arcade is doing takeaway afternoon teas. One box each of savoury goods, a box of sweet stuff to share and two homemade scones with jam and clotted cream. They cater for all dietary requirements and also do children’s boxes. Message them for details.
The Railway Club
The Railway Club is doing takeaway meals for collection throughout lockdown. The menu includes things like soups, beef stew, chicken curry, sausage and mash, fish pie and even desserts. Check out their Facebook page for info.
Granny’s Pies, Sandwiches & Buffet
Granny’s in Bilton offered lockdown services last time and is continuing this time too. Last time they did fresh and traditionally baked bread and cakes as well as an essential veggie box and a feeling fruity box. They’re got a new website coming so check their Facebook page for more details here.
Gallachers of Rugby
Gallachers have closed their doors but they do free local delivery for all your wine needs. I’ve tried it and it’s great. Even if you don’t know specifically what you want, they’ll pick something out for you to fit your price range and they’re doing a new ‘Tryanuary’ box. The Merchants Inn
Since the rules changed on takeaway alcohol, the Merchants is now doing delivery on Fridays and Saturdays 3pm – 6pm. Check out their menues on Facebook and order via email on firstname.lastname@example.org, via direct message, or on 01788 571119.
Square are open for takeaway, offering your caffeine and cake fix from 9am to 2pm every day. Their street food pop-ups are back at weekends too, starting with the amazing Flying Cows Burgers on Friday January 8th.
Maia is doing gelato delivery during lockdown. It’s available every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 4pm to 6pm – order by 2pm via their Facebook page. They have loads of flavours including vegan options.
Sweet Retreat do online ordering and local delivery and Royal Mail shipping on all your favourite sweets and treats. I have tried one of their sweet bags and it is MEGA. Check out their website at www.sweetretreatshop.co.uk
Pizza Vera are delivering their pizzas to customers within a 3.5 mile radius. I’ve had their pizzas and think they’re pretty good. Order via 01788 877450 or via Just Eat or Uber Eats.
Greek Zante Street
Rugby’s own Greek takeaway is doing deliveries and collections so you can get your Greek street food fix. And a kebab too. of course.
I haven’t tried these guys but their menus always sound good. Authentic Pakistani cuisine prepared and cooked by two sisters and delivered to your door. Dishes include things like Pakistani chicken curry, chicken tikka masala and chicken and spinach curry, as well as meat-free options like chickpea curry. Plus samosas, kebabs, masala chips and more. They’re also launching a service of preparing a home-cooked curry of your choice based on a minimum of four portions. Check out their social media here.
Erin’s Sweet Cones
Erin provides sweet cones and sweet-filled letters delivered straight to your door in Rugby every Saturday. Erin started her business in 2020 to raise enough money to hopefully go to Belize this year for three weeks on a world challenge expedition. She hit her target and is carrying on by popular demand. She’s got everything from hot chocolate cones to sweet selections and is already planning ahead for Valentine’s Day. You can find her on Facebook here. Oh, and did I mention she’s only 16. What a budding entrepreneur.
Baked by Binky
I have literally just discovered Baked by Binky and her creations look fab. From brownies to brownie stacks – it’s enough to keep you happy during lockdown. Check out her social media. She’s based in Rugby but will post to other locations. You can also get her goods at Pumpkins Deli.
Manor Farm Shop & Farmhouse Kitchen, Catthorpe
Manor Farm Shop saw us through the first two lockdowns and they’re doing it again. Their farm shop is open seven days a week – 9am to 6pm on weekdays and 9am to 5pm on weekends. They are also doing their order and collect service again. Their Farmhouse Kitchen is also serving takeaway drinks and cakes 9am to 3pm and a takeaway menu. On top of all that, they’re doing Pie Night on Thursday, Jan 7th and roast beef lunch on Sunday 10th. Keep an eye on their social media for great videos and lots of info.
Really Awesome Coffee
If you don’t want to leave your house at all, I’ve got the answer. Really Awesome Coffee is basically a mobile cafe that will come right to your front door. I’ve tried it and Corinne is lovely, bringing fresh coffee and all manner of tasty treats from hot sausage rolls and pizza to cold sandwiches, salads, and more. Plus of course, brownies, cakes and everything else in between. Just message her via Facebook and arrange a time.
The Rose Inn, Willoughby
The Rose Inn are doing a takeaway menu and really do need your support. They’re also doing things like tapas nights once a month which I tried with my mum and had a lovely evening. They’re also doing a Valentine’s menu if you haven’t got yourself sorted yet. I love their food and they’re lovely people, so check them out here.
Malt Kiln Farm Shop, Stretton-under-Fosse
Malt Kiln Farm Shop is still open for all your farm shop needs.
The Lost Farm, Grandborough
The Lost Farm do a delivery service of their rare breed meats. They’ve got some great deals on joints of meat, boxes etc. I got some goat from them and it was brilliant. Check out their social media or website.
Emma’s Pantry, Wolston
Another one for anything like brownies, cupcakes, cookies as well as breads and treat boxes. Emma offers collection and delivery options, with free delivery in Wolston, Brandon and Binley Woods. Contact her via Facebook or Instagram to order or enquire.
I bought some of these for my mum’s birthday and have it on good authority that they are BRILLIANT. You can order online and they are doing the occasional socially-distanced pop-up stand.
Onley Grounds Farm Shop & Deli
Onley Grounds become a bit of a regular haunt for me in the first lockdown and they opened a second shop in Dunchurch late last year. At both you can get their own meat as well as bread, milk, eggs, veg and they make their own ready meals and scotch eggs.
They’re also starting hot food at the Dunchurch Deli for takeaway, including tea and coffee as well as things like warm pastries in the morning and hot jacket potatoes from 11am, with more due to be added.

The Lion’s Den
The Lion’s Den is the creation from the lovely people behind the Old Lion at Harborough Magna, a dog friendly pub just outside Rugby that does decent pub grub. They’re doing some lovely sounding home-cooked meals for your to heat up and enjoy at home, as well as store cupboard essentials and other stuff, all delivered to your doo. Brownsover Fish Bar

For Goodness Cake
For all your cake creations and lockdown treats, check out For Goodness Cake. They do fab cakes but are also doing weekend lockdown treats including custard cream and party ring rocky road, biscoff millionaires, billionaire brownies and milkyway, Mars and Magic Stars rocky road. The Royal Oak, Brandon
The Royal Oak in Brandon is back with takeaway offerings, serving food all day. You can order via JustEat, or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or phone 02476 542304. These guys are always working SO hard so go and check them out.
Jammin’ BBQ at Napton Garage
Yes, I know this sounds weird but I’ve tried it out myself. These guys are usually over Banbury way but for Lockdown 3 are at Napton Garage on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights. You order online, leave your car reg in the notes, and then show up and they pop your pizza on your car roof when it’s ready. Completely contactless and super safe. Try the Canadian pizza, you’ll love it…
Pumpkins Deli, Brinklow
Pumpkins are open for takeaway. Check out their social media for details. They do brunches, lunches, coffee, cakes and all sorts of loveliness.
The Bull’s Head, Brinklow
The Bull’s Head is doing takeaways on Friday and Saturday from 6pm to 9pm. You can choose from pub classics like burgers, pies, fish and chips etc as well as pizzas. They even do a sharer box. Check out their social media.
The Royal Oak, Brandon
The Royal Oak are back doing takeaways. You can get hold of all your pub faves and more and can even pre-order. Call them on the day or order via JustEat.
Coombe Abbey may be closed, but Coombe Abbey Park is open for locals to exercise and its Café In The Park & Kiosk In The Park will be operating a takeaway service only with a limited menu and contactless payment.
Pickle and Pie at 23, Crick
Pickle & Pie are doing lockdown services again, including platter boxes as well as takeaway coffees, cakes etc. You can find their Facebook here.
The Blacksmiths Arms, Ryton-on-Dunsmore
The Blacksmiths Arms are doing takeaways for collection or delivery. I haven’t eaten there yet but it’s 100% on my list. They do great-sounding burgers and smokehouse meats. The Red Lion, Kilsby
The Red Lion at Kilsby do a takeaway menu with lots of great pub food, from fish and chips, ribs and wings, lasagne and burgers. They also do a kids menu and a Sunday menu. Visit their Facebook page for details.

Hilltop Farm, Hunningham
Hilltop Farm will remain open seven days a week, selling essentials including a butchery, fruit and veg, a cheese counter and deli and pantry stuff too. You can use their online shop, visit in person, or send an email with your list for them to pick it for you. They also offer contactless click and collect from the car park or home delivery locally.
They’re also doing takeaways including teas, coffees, homemade cakes and sandwiches, breakfasts some days, and pizza Friday and Sunday lunch on Sundays. Plus all sorts of other events like bonfire food takeaway and a drive-through hog roast. Check out their socials.
The Rose & Crown, Wolston
The Rose & Crown brings you The Food Van. The menu includes burgers on Tuesdays, classic pub dishes on Thursdays and curry club on Saturdays. Order via text, whatsapp or by calling 07594 194452. Collection from the Rose & Crown car park and local delivery to Wolston for an extra £1.50 between 6pm and 8pm. NHS workers eat for free.
The Smoking Pig
If bacon is your thing, you might want to look The Smoking Pig. They do artisan bacon, including a classic oak smoked version, black treacle ‘Morning Molasses’ and ‘The Kicker’, laced with chilli and garlic. They do delivery to Rugby too. We’ve tried their bacon and it really is brilliant.
If you want a lovely fine dining meal, try Antona at Home from the man behind The Cross at Kenilworth and Simpsons in Birmingham. I’ve tried this and it’s brilliant. Check out the website for more details.
The Virgins and Castle
The Virgins and Castle will be doing takeaway dishes every Friday, Saturday and Sunday in January. It will include their winter barbecue with bacon and sausage (including vegan) sandwiches and a guest dish each day. Plus there are their Sunday roasts to take home every Sunday. Forrest Coffee House
These guys opened last year and have proved a hit. They’ve put a one-way system in place and do coffee, freshly baked pastries, as well as books, cards, dried flowers and more.

Warwick Street Kitchen have done takeaways throughout the pandemic, including an epic tapas box I tried in the first lockdown, as well as coffee and cakes. The Travelling Chef & Co.
The Travelling Chef & Co. is a takeaway service from chef Charlie Broome. They’ve been offering amazing-looking burgers and street food delights like mozzarella sticks, chicken wings and epic profiteroles for dessert. They’re now also launching Sunday roasts from 12pm to 3pm on Sundays. A choice of meat with all the trimmings, as well as veggie options and of course the obligatory dessert. Casa Valle’s deli is open for takeaway. They do some lovely sounding deep-filled paninis that are perfect for fuel for your one bit of allowed exercise. Check out their social media for details.
Oscar’s French Bistro
Oscars have been offering Oscars at Home for a while now. Different three course menus each week for you to enjoy at home and reasonably priced too.
Procaffeinate are open 9am to 2pm every day for coffee and more. Keep an eye on their social media for feature hot chocolate at weekends.
Ben’s Meat & Heat Emporium
You can stock up on biltong and other South African foods, as well as chilli products, from Ben’s Meat & Heat Emporium. Their lockdown hours are just Saturdays from 10am to 5pm.

The Little Cocktail Bar
I’ve had my eyes on these guys for a while now and their cocktails in a box are brilliant. They change the menu regularly and also do nationwide delivery as well as local delivery. Check out their website here.
The Fox and Vivian
The Fox and Vivian are back with takeaway on Thursday from 4-8pm and Fridays and Saturdays from 4-9pm. The menu includes sharers, ‘little bits’ like wings, ribs, mac and cheese croquettes and waffle fries, and ‘big bits’ like burgers. Send them a message on social media to order and they’ll take it from there. There is also a Sunday roast menu coming – so look out for it.
Regency Fish in Leamington have got some top quality Cornish fish and will stay open through lockdown – they sell out quickly so apparently it’s better to pre-order. Take a look at their Instagram and I guarantee you’ll want to.
We Love Pizza
Artisan pizza restaurant We Love Pizza has not long opened but has hit the ground running despite lockdown. Visit their website here.
Travelling Chef & Co.
The Travelling Chef & Co. is a takeaway service based in Leamington. The menu looks fab, from the ‘Butch Burger’ to the ‘Vincent Vega’ fried chicken burger, and more as well as sides including loaded fries, chicken wings and sweet treats. Check them out on Instagram.
Billo’s Rasoi offers authentic, homemade Punjabi cuisine delivered to your door in Leamington and Warwick at weekends. The deadline for Friday orders is Thursday 8pm, and for Saturday is Friday at 8pm. You’ll find all the menus on Instagram here.

Hart & Co
Hart & Co is somewhere I’ve wanted to go for ages and their takeaway menu always looks fab. It includes amazing brunches as well as all sorts of other treats. They do local delivery, so check out their social media.
Prices Spices are doing weekend Indian food takeaways to Leamington and Warwick (CV32 and CV34 postcodes). The food arrives cool and you reheat it at home. Pre-order with them – they sell out quickly. I’ll be featuring this soon on the blog so watch this space!
Aubrey Allen is still open for all your meat and produce needs. They launched Aubrey at Home just before Christmas and it’s a brilliant service. Check them out for meat, cheese and all sorts of other loveliness.
The Steamhouse are still brightening up everyone’s day with baked goods. Their store is open from 9am – 4pm every day with bagels, cakes, donuts and more. Order through click and collect on GoodEats and try a whole load of tasty festive specials.
Lola Provisions are doing takeaway coffee from 8am-6pm Wednesday to Saturday and 10am to 4pm, as well as fresh bread and pastries from Mor Bakery on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, plus treats every day from Baked by Desa. They also do refillable wines and other wines. Hurrah!

Dhillons Brewery may be closed at the moment but they’re doing next-day nationwide deliveries and same-day free local deliveries for orders over £30.00. Visit their website here.
Proof Bakery is an artisan bakery started by Chernise Neo which trains and employs refugees, allowing them to use their bread-making skills and then selling that bread.
Proof does a range of home delivery boxes, from bread to sweet treats including baklava buns, cinnamon buns, a slice of lemon, almond and coconut basbousa cake, and their house brownie with a tahini swirl and sea salt. They also do sourdough baking kits delivered to anywhere in the UK, including their tried-and-tested sourdough starter, as well as the tools and recipes they use to make delicious, beautiful loaves. I have to say, these guys look great. Usually based at The Hearsall Inn, the pair have now teamed up to offer delivery of fabulous tacos as well as drinks to the local area. Earlsdon Supper Club
Through lockdown Earlsdon Supper Club is focusing on ESC At Home with some amazing menus coming out. Box options start at £25 and there are celebration boxes too – as well as the chance to order paired wines. Check out the website for details.
Gourmet Food Kitchen
Tony at Gourmet Food Kitchen has started doing ‘Gourmet Nights in a Box’. At £30 per person for a three course menu as well as a bread roll and butter, it’s great value and the food will no doubt be good. Numbers are limited and it’s first come, first served. Find him on Facebook here.
DIY Pizza Company at The Village Hall, Balsall Common
I tried pizza from these guys last year and it’s great. They’re at Balsall Common Village Hall on Friday and Saturdays and have some lovely specials coming up. They also do DIY kits branded the DIY Pizza Company and available from local Co-ops. Check out their website here.
The Brownie Box by Emily
If you need to eat your feelings a bit like I have this week, then I reckon brownies look like the answer. Emily does all sorts of loveliness from blondies to brownies and more and has just moved into her own unit in FarGo Village. Check her website for more info.
Esquires are open for takeaways of coffee and other drinks, as well as various edible treats, They are also doing vegan milks if you’re doing Veganuary.
The Farmhouse have launched a drive-thru experience. You basically park up, your order is taken at your car and payment taken, then your door, drinks and desserts are delivered to your car along with complimentary hot towels, cutlery and condiments. Something different right!
Turnips, Binley Woods
Turnips in Binley Woods have a huge range of fruit and veg and are doing delivery to Binley Woods and the surrounding area – possibly even Rugby. Place orders through their Facebook page or call the shop on 02476 542081.

The New Horseshoe Bar & Grill

The Cottage, Earlsdon
The Cottage is doing sunday roast take home kits. Choose from pink topside beef, confit chicken leg or butternut squash wellington, served with roast potatoes, leek, fine beans, cabbage, root veg, yorkshires and red wine gravy. Head to their website to place your order.

Farmers Fayre Farm Shop & Kitchen, National Agricultural Centre

The Barn at Berryfields
The Barn at Berryfields are back with all your essential products from fresh fruit, veg and salad to ther own home-reared meat, bakery produce, and all the eseentials like cheese, pies, sausage rolls and samosas, plus ready meals and wine, spirits and household goods. They’ve got a one-way system in place and plenty of space to keep things safe.

Anne-Maries does cooking classes via zoom and having tried one, I can confirm they’re great fun. She’s doing some free lessons over the coming weeks on Wednesday lunchtimes. They’re not only a chance to do a bit of cooking but also to connect with other people during lockdown. Book via this link.
The Art Kitchen
The Art Kitchen is somewhere I haven’t been to nearly enough but have had a couple of great meals there. They are offering a sharing menu throughout January for takeaway which sounds brilliant. Basically two mains, two rice, one veg dish and a choice of a bottle of wine or prosecco. For £45. Bargain. Call them on 01926 494303 or 07710 163797. The lines open at 4pm every day with takeaway food available for delivery or collection between 5pm and 10pm.
Rowley’s do free delivery for people within a 12-mile radius. Head to their website rowleysbutchers.com. They have set delivery days for different towns and include meat, bread eggs and more.

Someone sent me a link to Poco Cafe in Warwick and it looks lovely. Authentic Italian, with plenty of good coffee and cakes on offer. Plus they’re doing a 10% discount for any NHS staff.
Jacks Shack did an amazing job of takeaway and delivery last lockdown and they’re back. They’re open Tuesday to Saturday 7.30am to 4pm for takeaway and delivery.
MOR Bakery & Kitchen
These guys survived 2020 against all the odds and are back for all your lockdown needs, from bread to cronuts and cruffins. They also doing a bread-making starter kit if you want to hone your skills. Head to their website for more info.
Salt has launched Salt at Home with menus from £42.50 a head which quite frankly is a steal for amazing food. They’ve also launched ‘Salt Masterclass’ which is a subscription service virtual cookery school which should keep you busy if you’re looking for something to keep you occupied.
