When you eat out a lot, menus can get quite similar. There’s usually a steak, probably a chicken dish and another meat dish, some fish, a veggie option or two. […]
I’m including this event because it was absolutely stonking when we went last year. This year is the last ever Independent Birmingham Festival – a celebration of all things indie in Brum. Held at The Bond in Digbeth, it’s a great line-up of pop-up restaurants, cocktail bars, street food, craft beer, natural wine, coffee, retailers and live music. A great day out. Tickets are £10 and they’re likely to go like hot cakes so get yourself there. Find out more info here.

Imagine a whole festival dedicated to cheese? Imagine no more. Birmingham Seasonal Markets presents Cheese Fest 2020 at The Bond in Digbeth. The event has been a sellout for the past two years and is likely to be this year. The one-day pop-up festival mixes cheese-only traders with some Birmingham faves offering cheese specials. There will be cheesy street food, bars, DJs, live music and an indoor market hall packed with traders. It’s dog friendly, family-friendly and all in all a lovely day out.
